Contest Time

It’s that time again—send us your X-rays!

Entries are being accepted for Veterinary Practice News’ annual “They Ate WHAT?” radiograph contest.

Radiographs showing the odd or crazy things animals ingest may be submitted electronically to VPNeditor@bowtieinc.com through June 30. The winners will be announced in the September issue.

A brief explanation of the case, including the situation and the entrant’s name, clinic address and contact information, must accompany each entry.

One grand-prize winner will receive a digital single-lens reflex camera and two runners-up will receive point-and-shoot digital cameras.

Sound-Eklin Medical Systems of Carlsbad, Calif., a VCA Antech company, sponsors the popular competition. Sound-Eklin is the veterinary industry’s largest source of digital radiography, ultrasound and PACS management solutions.

Last year’s winner was a digital radiograph that showed a 5-inch section of TV antenna inside a cat.

If you have questions about the competition, let me know!
