Letter from the Editor: November 2009

It’s been a tough year for many of us. But even with the challenges posed by the recession, I have many things to be thankful for.

I’m thankful to be working with so many smart and talented people, both within my publishing family at BowTie Inc. and in the veterinary industry. It’s not an exaggeration to say I learn something new every day. That wasn’t always the case when I worked in newspapers.

Which reminds me—I’m thankful that I no longer work in newspapers.

I’m thankful that veterinarians, clinic staff, industry figures and vendors so graciously make the time to share with us their passion for their work, and to suggest story ideas that our readers find useful. And I’m grateful that readers go out of their way to compliment work in the magazine that they like, as well as kindly offer the occasional constructive criticism.

Here’s wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving!
