Presentation:This is an 8 year old female Chihuahua with a large, firm thigh area.

Questions:

  1. What is the most likely diagnosis based on this description and the radiograph?
  2. What is the treatment?
  3. What is one critically important precaution during surgery?

  1. Intermuscular lipoma.
  2. Excision of the mass.
  3. Not damaging the sciatic nerve.
