A program focusing on the importance of re-engaging inactive clients and bringing them back into the veterinary practice is being supported by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).
Partners for Healthy Pets (PHP) and Veterinary Medical Association Executives’ (VMAE’s) Inactive Client Reminder Program works based on a patient’s visitation history and not a timetable for a specific service.
The program consists of three steps:
From 2015 to 2016, 1,612 practices enrolled in the program, which resulted in reactivating an average of 128 clients per practice (many of whom had been absent for two to three years).
