Pets eat the darndest things for vets to find! And you wouldn’t believe it if it the rads weren’t right there for all to see. Pets have eaten such horrifying yet impressive things as 104 pennies, 43.5 socks, 27 golf balls, 9 sewing needles, 5 rubber duckies, 2 cups of pea gravel from a fish tank, a shish-kabob, an intact lightbulb, bait—with the fish hook—and more. Share with Veterinary Practice News and the veterinary community the most jaw-dropping finds your radiographs discovered in 2017.

The winner, as selected by a panel of veterinarians and Veterinary Practice News editors, will receive $500 and a one-year subscription to Web PACS, a Picture Archiving Communications System valued at $2,400, from contest prize sponsor, IDEXX Laboratories Inc.

Upload high-resolution images—large files reproduce best—and fill in your name, clinic name and address, telephone number, and a short explanation of the case, including the outcome. If available, include images of the patient and the recovered item(s).

The winning entry will be unveiled in the October 2017 issue of Veterinary Practice News. The honorable mention entries also will be featured in the October issue.
