What better way to discuss One Health Day than to examine the safety and well-being of pets and pet-parents alike? November 3, 2025, was Global One Health Day, but there are year-round applications.. This represents a coordinated worldwide campaign by the One Health Initiative, One Health Commission, and the One Health Platform Foundation. One Health Day aims to draw global attention to One Health (OH) initiatives and educate others on the importance of integrating animals, people, and the environment in collaborative efforts to achieve a healthy world. One facet of OH and a place where one can make a difference in a vet practice, local community, state, nation, or, more far-reaching, is when we consider disaster preparedness.
