In this presentation, Liz Hughston, RVT, CVT, LVT, LVMT, VTS (SAIM)(ECC), president of the National Veterinary Professionals Union – a labor union dedicated to organizing in the veterinary profession – talks about the factors that lead many veterinary workers to want to organize, and the process of unionizing. She also discusses the rise of corporations in veterinary medicine and how that has contributed to workers’ need for unions.
