The Veterinary Practice News Readers' Choice Product Awards are open to any manufacturer or exclusive U.S. distributor of products used by veterinary professionals in their practices and hospitals.

Product submissions will be open from Friday, May 11, 2026, to Sunday, July 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Categories and Entry Fees

The base entry fee is $250 US and entitles the product to compete in one base category. These categories are as follows, including examples of the types of products they include:

• Diagnostics & Imaging

In-clinic lab equipment, analyzers, rapid tests, ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopy, monitoring devices, and other technology used to detect, assess, or measure patient health conditions.

• Pharmaceuticals & Preventives

Prescription medications, OTC medications, vaccines, parasiticides, and other therapeutic or preventive drug products.

• Clinical Equipment & Instruments

Surgical tools, anesthesia machines, dental equipment, fluid pumps, sterilization equipment, and other medical equipment or hand instruments used in patient care.

• Practice Technology & Software

Practice management software, communication platforms, telemedicine tools, AI-assisted workflow tools, digital imaging software, and other technology that supports the clinical or business side of a veterinary practice.

• Nutrition & Wellness

Therapeutic diets, wellness foods, supplements, nutraceuticals, treats, and other topical or ingestible wellness-related products.

• Practice Operations, Financial & Client Services

Cleaning supplies and equipment, cages and kennels, facility consumables, payment and financing solutions, pet insurance, and other products or services that support practice operations or the client experience.

In addition, each products  first released in 2025 or 2026 may be entered into one the Best New Product category for an additional fee of $100.

Finally, entrants may choose to add a YouTube video to each product entry for an additional fee of $100. This video will appear on the voting page for any entered categories.

Voting Process

During the voting period, conducted during the summer of 2026, products will be presented to readers category-by-category and provide them with the ability to choose their favorite. Each product will display its name, company name, image, description, and video (if applicable).

Each entrant will be notified when voting opens so that they may share the link with their own customers.

Winners

Winners will be announced in the November 2026 issue of Veterinary Practice News. Winners will be notified of their win once voting is complete and tallied, but may not publicize this until the issue is released in October 2026.

All winners will receive a digital copy of Veterinary Practice News Readers' Choice Product Awards 2026 badge for use in their marketing materials.

Each category will have multiple winners. The number of winners will be at the discretion of Veterinary Practice News editorial team.

Eligibility

All products entered must be available for use within the United States. Products not adhering to the rules will be disqualified. There are no refunds for disqualified entries.

If you are a distributor, you must have the exclusive U.S. rights to distribute the product entered, otherwise entry should be made by the manufacturer.
