Offering vital resources to veterinary clinics in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus is at the core of an industry partnership among Merck Animal Health, Purina, and Zoetis.

Veterinary practices are invited to join the Diabetes PetCare alliance—now in its 11th year—to receive free resources for diabetes education and free starter diabetes management kits for clients caring for pets with diabetes. Clinics can enroll in the program online, from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, 2025. Clients whose pets are diagnosed with diabetes between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, are eligible to receive the free kit in time for National Pet Diabetes Month in November.

The starter management diabetes kit includes a glucose monitoring system, a bag of prescription diet, and a vial of porcine insulin zinc suspension from the company partners. For more information, visit the PetDiabetesMonth website.
