The Farmer's Dog, a fresh pet food company focused on canine health and longevity, has announced a $10 million investment in veterinary research. This funding aims to support residencies, grants, and clinical studies at various universities to advance pet nutrition science and strengthen veterinarians' role in pet health.

Building on previous research, including studies on dog hydration and relative supersaturation, the company recently collaborated with Cornell University on an extended feeding trial. This study, overseen by veterinary nutrition experts, assessed the long-term effects of The Farmer's Dog diet for a reportedly extended duration that is three times as long as a typical feeding trial. The findings reportedly provide evidence of the "nutritional balance and completeness" of the company's food products.

This initiative marks the first phase of a broader research partnership aimed at deepening the scientific understanding of pet nutrition and enhancing veterinary resources. For more information, visit The Farmer's Dog website.
