In this session: Sarah Ozawa, DVM, DACZM, reviews a select number of cardiovascular diseases in zoological companion animal species, such as rabbits, bearded dragons, and parrots in a case-based format. This lecture will focus on the disease types, etiology (if known!) and key anatomical differences of these species. We will also discuss any differences in diagnosis from dogs and cats and discuss treatment options or preventive measures if available.
