Nominate an Equine Vet for American Farrier Journal Hall of Fame

Know a veterinarian who has contributed to the knowledge of horse foot health? The American Farrier Journal is looking for nominations.

Know an equine veterinarian who has contributed a lot to the field of equine hoof care? Then American Farriers Journal wants you to nominate them for their International Equine Veterinarian Hall of Fame.

According to the American Farriers Journal website, “the International Equine Veterinarian Hall Of Fame honors veterinarians who have contributed significantly to knowledge of equine hoof care. Two classes of veterinarians are nominated: those who work closely with farriers in the field and those who work in colleges or the industry to teach and research hoof care.”

The journal is also looking for any farriers who have contributed to the profession too for their International Horseshoeing Hall of Fame.

For those interested in nominating for either award, the journal is asking for a 1- to 2-page summary by July 31, 2017. For more information on the contest, visit the American Farriers Journal website.
